Series: Phoebe and Her Unicorn #9

BLURB: The NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING series Phoebe and Her Unicorn is back with all-new sparkling tales of best friendship. Whether they're visiting Camp Shimmerhorn or fitting unicorn hooves for bowling shoes, Phoebe and Marigold find magic in every moment. A unicorn in bowling shoes is quite a STRIKE-ing sight. But for nine-year-old Phoebe Howell, it’s just another fun outing with her best friend, the illustrious unicorn Marigold Heavenly Nostrils.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cute n' Fluffy.

I think Phoebe and Marigold adventures in everyday school and summer camp are kind of addictive because I had no intention of going for another of this books -again in form of comic strips and other longer short stories with the summer camp- and here I am.

This book is clearly intended for classroom discusion about the changes bringed for modern technology, the virtue of practicing for piano lessons (or rather for the importance of practicing to get better without magical short cuts), about gender roles, and that internet is nice but be careful with the things you post about other people (or the badness of simply bullying when you hurt other people feelings).

My rating: 2.5/5

BLURB: Pick up a glass of milk, curl up with your security blanket, and enjoy the timeless brilliance of Peanuts in this new collection of comic strips!
Everyone’s favorite classic characters are back: Peppermint Patty enrolls in a private school to end her academic troubles—only to discover she’s just graduated from obedience school. Linus finds himself entangled in a love triangle (and stuck on top of a snow-covered roof). And Charlie Brown runs away from the law and becomes a vagrant baseball coach.

The Peanuts crew is lovable, popular, and charming, but please whatever you do, don’t call Linus “My Sweet Babboo!”

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Peanuts is a cartoon ageless that still keep entertaining the readers. Charley Brown the boy whom keep trying against the odds. The superimaginative Snoopy and his adventures, and the way that he is able to manipulate the humans is funny and many times incomprensible to the spectator . Like the way Charlie follow through his wishes, and Peppermint Paty believes he is a lawyer. But overall how he thinks so high of himself and diverge from the tradition - like sleeping over the roof.

Series:Sarah's Scribbles #3

BLURB : Sarah valiantly struggles with waking up in the morning, being productive, and dealing with social situations. Sarah's Scribbles is the comic strip that follows her life, finding humor in living as an adulting introvert that is at times weird, awkward, and embarrassing.

My rating: 2.5*

 My bookshelves: comic-strip, netgalley, humor, riete-de-ti-mismo, graphic-novel

As the point of the book is to make me laugh and didn't achieved, lost one star. Anderson is accurare in some strips regarding how introverted people and some kind of nerd people feel in confronted with many situations, and many of us can feel even identify in some aspects, but the spark is absent .

There are love for reading, autumm, pets, being alone, also the procrastinating, periods, and little pains.

Another delivery of the adventures of Phoebe and her best friend Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, where the delivery goes back to the system of comic strips instead of one storyline like the previus issue.

The summer, frienship, fangirling, internet, school, and Unicorns!

The grace of these vignettes apart from the drawings -really cute- , are good part of the dialogues. The author dedicates a good part of the stories to the impact of technology nowadays like the internet , something that goes from parents to children. I love that Phoebe's parents are addicted to electronic games and inclined towards art in the case of mom.
