Cut&Run es una serie acerca de dos agentes del FBI: Ty y Zane. Al principio de la serie ambos se detestaban, pero eso terminó siendo UST, y después mucho más. Ambos son de esos machos con un pasado entrampado llenos de asuntos clasificados en sus actividades militares o como agentes encubiertos.

En Armados y Peligrosos (sorry, pero la serie no ha sido traducida al castellano), mientras se encuentran en un estado molesto como pareja por el final del último libro, son enviados en la misión de recuperar a un testigo bajo protección. El 'testigo' en cuestion es Julian Cross del libro Warrior's Cross , quien de muy mala gana se deja arrastrar por el par de agentes junto a su pareja Cameron a lo que esta seguro es su muerte (o en el mejor de los casos ser reincorporado sin alternativa a la CIA).

Júntese 2 parejas muy diferentes. Julian y Ty cayéndose mal desde el principio. Un largo viaje por carretera con mal tiempo. Un testigo que es un hitman determinado a escapar. Y diálogo lleno de pullas. Más algo de consejos sentimentales no-solicitados por parte de Cameron. Ah, y sexo, mucho sexo. 

Sin olvidar agentes de ambas agencias en persecución de nuestros héroes con un objetivo no muy claro, y el lector preuntándose quiénes son los buenos y quienes son los malos.

Munich, es Walpurgis Nacht, un turista sale a dar una vuelta con un cochero y decide explorar por su cuenta pese a las advertencias de mal tiempo y otras cosas.

Supe de esta historia corta por Lau, y aunque no menciona nombres sino a un 'viajero inglés' y el hecho de provenir de la historia original "Drácula" -el primer capítulo cortado por un editor-, esto nos lleva a pensar en su protagonista: Harker.

Por otra parte, es como una historia aleccionaria contra turistas aventureros ... o un precursor de "Hostal" ;P Es el tipo porfiado que 'knows best' y va derechito donde nadie lo invitó.

Wang Lung is a poor peasant in China between wars, the story begins with his marriage to a poor slave of a rich house - O-Lan -, and continues through three generations in his fight against poverty, hunger, droughts and plagues , meanwhile a revolution is mentioned in the background. O-Lan and Wang Lung work very hard on their lands, and their efforts bear fruit although he never values his wife much in spite of being essentially a fairly good and honest man, which is seen especially at the end.

I had read this novel many years ago, it was among the books in my house and I remembered it with some nostalgia, so I required this book out of curiosity. I do not know where this fashion came from introducing great classics as graphic novels, but in this case the format frankly does not do justice to this tremendous classic.

My rating: 2.75 frozen hopeless stars

Siberia 56 is the name of the 58th colony of Earth, or maybe I have to say hope-to-be colony. For many years expeditions have struggle against a very hostil ambient trying to setle there. The story start with the last crew -the number 13- in the first volume, the replacement after eight years.

Do you remember those science fiction/horror films where they send an expeditionary group to colonize or exploit a planet that is tremendously inhospitable and there are very dangeorus creatures?

The idea is not very original.
