Historia nominada al Nebula.
De Kelly Robson solamente conocia "Las Aguas de Versalles", una entretenida fantasia histórica, y esta vez nos trae una historia post-apocaliptica con mensaje ecológico y anticapitalista.
When the plague babies had moved to the surface six decades earlier, in 2205, they’d been determined to prove humanity could escape the hives and hells and live above ground again, in humanity’s ancestral habitat. First, they’d erected bare-bones habs high in the mountains, scraping together skeleton funding for proof-of-concept pilot projects. For the first few ecological remediation projects, the plague babies donated their billable hours, hoping to lure investment and spark population growth.
Pros: Over 87 years old female protagonist, with prosthesis (tentacles) b/c of disease.
Interesting characters.
Time travel in bronce era.
Cons: The story throws you in the middle of jergon without more explanations from the start. In some cases this works , but with technobable you dont know what is going on during a while.
-Your average bad-company-guy.

Esta es una de esas historias postapocalipticas, la gente sobreviviente son llamados los Bebes de la Plaga. La protagonista es una de ellos, es significativo que tenga más de 87 años de edad y que en vez de piernas tiene miembros artificiales en forma de tentaculos de pulpo, es una pionera de los que salio a la superficie a crear habitats en una Tierra deshecha por desastres ecologicos donde se aferran a los glaciales por el agua que procura cultivos y crianza de animales. Existe tambien recombencion genetica y su asistente es uno de la nueva generacion, criada en monton y con plena revolucion sexual (de la cual no es muy fan y apunta a ser asexual): PERO los Bancos siguen marcando el ritmo del desarrollo (por que ??? no lo sé).
Una empresa invento el viaje en el tiempo, y segun ellos no se puede cambiar lo pasado asi que en cambio es empresa turistica, y para traer suvenirs en medio del mas absoluto secreto (monopolio!).
No se tampoco, pero eso les echa a eprder los nuevos proyectos en los financiamientos.
Bueno cuando llaman a un proyecto de ir al Eufrates de la antiguedad, en la era de Bronce, la prota salta a competir para ir por que es una especialista en aguas, y se va con un equipo de 3 más alguien de la compañia.
No hay que decir que el viaje se les complica.
